These days people’s idea of hip hop music is skewed by MTV’s concept of promoting rappers that only ever rap about A. money B. the ladies C. waking up in a new bugatti or D. all of the above. Now and again it’s nice to be reminded that there are hip hop artists out there trying to say a little more than that. Joey Bada$$ does just that in his newest video “Unorthodox”. Visually, “Unorthodox” is really interesting boasting a main color scheme of red, white, and blue with video effects making every scene look as if it’s being painted on with every line Joey raps. If this eye catching video is one of his first releases of this year, I think it’s safe to say Joey Bada$$ is about to have a good time in 2013.
